Kit Harington Joins Season 2 of Alien: Earth

Season 2 of Alien: Earth is expanding its cast with several high-profile additions.

Production on the second season is already underway, and the creators have announced that Tracey Ullman, Sam Spruell and Jerome Flynn—best known for playing Bronn in Game of Thrones—have officially joined the series.

What has been confirmed is that Season 2 will continue directly from the events of the first season, whose finale left viewers with numerous unanswered questions and hinted at a dramatic shift in the balance of power.

Series creator and showrunner Noah Hawley previously explained that the first season intentionally ended without resolving every mystery.

According to Hawley, one chapter of the story has concluded, but the arrival of powerful new forces will reshape the world of the series.

"That chapter is over, but the Weyland-Yutani team has arrived, and the balance of power is changing. The children we've been following have no idea what's coming."

The season's closing line—"Now we're in charge"—may have sounded triumphant, but Hawley has suggested that future episodes will reveal just how misleading that confidence truly was.

New Cast Members Raise Expectations

The addition of Jerome Flynn has become one of the biggest talking points surrounding the new season. The actor earned worldwide recognition for his portrayal of Bronn in Game of Thrones, one of the fantasy drama's most beloved characters.

Sam Spruell also has ties to the Game of Thrones universe, having portrayed one of the White Walkers, further strengthening the connection between Alien: Earth and some of television's biggest fantasy productions.

Meanwhile, Tracey Ullman—best known for her work in comedy—could bring a fresh dynamic to the series despite the dark tone of the Alien universe. The combination of acclaimed dramatic performers and a veteran comedic actress has made Season 2 one of the most highly anticipated upcoming sci-fi television releases.
