The premiere date for the second season of the series Bite has been announced
The popular Netflix anthology series returns with a new story and cast in spring 2026.
The streaming service Netflix has officially revealed the release date for the second season of the anthology series Bite. The continuation of the hit project, which is not directly connected to the first season, will premiere on the platform on April 16, 2026.
When and in What Format the New Season Will Be Released
The second season of Bite will consist of eight episodes, each approximately 30 minutes long. Netflix announced work on the new season back in October 2025, immediately making it clear that the series would retain its anthology format and offer viewers a completely standalone story.
New Cast
Key roles in the second season will be played by Oscar Isaac, a 2026 Golden Globe nominee, and Carey Mulligan, a previous Oscar nominee. The project also features Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny, who are considered among the most promising young actors of their generation.
What the Second Season Will Be About
The new story of Bite will unfold within the closed and privileged world of an elite country club. At the center of the plot is a young couple who accidentally witness a shocking argument between their boss and his wife.
This event triggers a chain of dangerous consequences, evolving into a complex game of concessions and blackmail. The key figure in the story is the club's owner—a Korean billionaire—around whom the main intrigue of the season revolves.
Success of the First Season
The first season of Bite premiered in 2023 and became a major hit. It starred Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, and the plot was partially based on the personal experiences of the series creator, Lee Sung Jin.
The project received widespread critical acclaim and amassed an impressive collection of awards, including Emmy, Critics' Choice, and Golden Globe awards, as well as honors from the Producers', Writers', and Actors' Guilds.
Who Is Working on the Continuation
Lee Sung Jin returns to the project as showrunner and executive producer. He will share these duties with Steven Yeun, Ali Wong, and director Jake Schreier. Production of the second season, as before, is handled by A24, which played a key role in the success of the series' first season.
