Release Date Announced for Fourth Season of Series 'Ted Lasso'

Apple TV+ has confirmed the return of the popular comedy and released the first stills from the new episodes.

The streaming service Apple TV+ has officially announced that the fourth season of the series "Ted Lasso" will premiere in the summer of 2026. The exact release date will be announced later. Along with the announcement, the platform released the first four stills from the new season, offering a glimpse into the continuation of the story.

The Return of Ted Lasso and a New Challenge

Based on the published images, Ted Lasso, played by Jason Sudeikis, is once again returning to London and to work at AFC Richmond. However, this time he faces a fundamentally new career challenge: Ted takes on the coaching role for a women's second-division football team.

In the new season, his loyal partner, Coach Beard (played again by Brendan Hunt), remains by his side. The team will also be joined by a new assistant coach, portrayed by Tanya Reynolds. Furthermore, Ted's son, Henry, is now played by Grant Feely.

Clues in the Stills and Character Development

One of the released stills has particularly caught the attention of fans. It shows Ted and Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) standing by the Richmond private jet. It appears it was Rebecca who traveled to Kansas to persuade Ted to return to coaching.

In the scene, Lasso hands her a box of his signature homemade biscuits—a detail long since become a symbol of their warm friendship and one of the series' most recognizable motifs.

Plot Continuation After the Season Three Finale

As previously reported, the fourth season will begin in Kansas, where Ted returned in the season three finale. From there, he and his son will head back to London, logically continuing the protagonist's personal and professional journey.

Filming for the new season began in July 2025 in Jason Sudeikis's hometown, Kansas City. Production is currently ongoing in London.
