Brad Pitt in the First Trailer for 'The Adventures of Cliff Booth'
Cliff Booth Becomes 'Hollywood's Fixer' in 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' Sequel
Netflix used one of the biggest events in the US this year—the Super Bowl—to drop the first trailer for 'The Adventures of Cliff Booth,' once again starring Brad Pitt in the lead role.
What the Trailer Shows
The short but packed promo immerses viewers in the atmosphere of 1970s Hollywood. Cliff Booth, known to audiences from Quentin Tarantino's original film, is no longer just a stuntman and double for Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio). He now appears as "Hollywood's Fixer," a man who solves problems both on and off the set.
In the trailer, Booth is seen in various situations: relaxing at a bar, working on film sets, and even competing in an off-road race. Tarantino's signature sarcastic humor, familiar from the 2019 movie, remains intact—with censors comically "blurring out" explicit scenes, strong language, and weapons. One of the most striking shots features Booth placing an Oscar on a table, a nod to Brad Pitt's actual win for his role in the original film.
The Filmmaking Team
The project is directed by David Fincher, while Quentin Tarantino serves as producer and writer, continuing work on what he has described as his "tenth and final" film project.
Joining Brad Pitt on screen are:
• Elizabeth Debicki
• Yahya Abdul-Mateen II
• Carla Gugino
• Holt McCallany
• Timothy Olyphant (as James Stacy), among others.
Filming has already wrapped in Los Angeles, with cinematography handled by Fincher's frequent collaborator, Erik Messerschmidt, known for his work on psychological thrillers and dramas for the studio.
Expectations and Premiere
The film promises to be more than just a retro comedy; it aims to be a full-fledged expansion of the 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' universe, exploring new facets of Cliff Booth's character and showing how the stuntman and master of action became a true figure of 70s Hollywood.
An official release date has not yet been announced, but experts predict a summer 2026 premiere on Netflix, followed by a limited theatrical release.
