First Images Revealed for "The Dutton Ranch" Series, Centered on Beth and Rip

Paramount has officially announced the release date for the new project in the Yellowstone universe. The premiere of The Dutton Ranch will take place on May 15, 2026—viewers will be treated to the first two episodes simultaneously on the streaming service Paramount+ and the Paramount Network cable channel. The first season will consist of nine episodes.

Plot and New Location
Despite hints from the original series’ finale, the action of the new show will unfold not in Montana but in South Texas. Showrunner Chad Feehan shared that the story will focus on Beth and Rip’s attempts to start a new life away from their past.
According to the official synopsis, the protagonists will face fierce competition from another ranch, whose owners are willing to do anything to maintain their power. At the heart of the story is a struggle for survival, where family ties, trust, and moral choices come at a high price.

Cast
Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser will reprise their lead roles as Beth and Rip. Joining them in the first season are Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Mark Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind, as well as Ed Harris and Annette Bening.
Additionally, Finn Little will reprise his Yellowstone role as Carter.

Expansion of the Yellowstone Universe
The Dutton Ranch marks the second spinoff of Taylor Sheridan’s franchise to launch in 2026. Earlier, the series Yellowstone: Lawmen premiered on CBS, with Luke Grimes returning as Kayce Dutton.
According to showrunner Spencer Hudnut, both series exist within the same timeline, opening the door for a potential future crossover.
