Disney+ has renewed the series ‘Wonder Man’ for a second season.

The Marvel Comics project centred on Simon Williams will continue following the events of the first season.

Disney+ has officially given the green light to a second season of the series ‘Wonder Man’. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley will return to their roles, continuing the story within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Key Cast Returning

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will once again play Simon Williams—a struggling actor whose career unexpectedly becomes intertwined with the emergence of superpowers. He will be joined once more by Ben Kingsley, reprising his role as Trevor Slattery, a character familiar to audiences from previous Marvel projects, including ‘Iron Man 3’.

Creative Team Behind the Project

The creative team will also maintain continuity behind the camera. Andrew Guest will continue as showrunner and executive producer, while Destin Daniel Cretton returns as director.

This decision ensures that the overall style and tone of the project will carry over into the second season.

Story and Character Development

The first season, which premiered on January 27, 2026, introduced audiences to Simon Williams—an actor trying to make it big in Hollywood. His meeting with Trevor Slattery takes an unexpected turn when the character becomes involved in the making of a film about the superhero ‘Wonder Man’.

But behind the scenes of the production, a more serious story unfolds: Williams begins to develop real superpowers, gradually transforming his life.

Fallout from the First Season Finale

By the season’s end, the situation spirals out of control—Williams’ abilities become known to the authorities, and he is declared an “imminent threat.” Enter Agent Cleary, a representative of the Department of Damage Control, familiar to audiences from the events of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.

This twist sets the stage for the continuation, where Simon Williams’ story is likely to escalate to a new level of conflict.

When to Expect the Next Season

A premiere date for the second season has not yet been announced. Nevertheless, the renewal confirms audience interest and Marvel’s plans to further develop the character within its cinematic universe.

New episodes are expected to continue blending industry satire, superhero action, and the personal drama of the central character.
