Premiere Date Announced for The Trail of Chikatilo Series

The new crime drama based on real events is set to premiere in May 2026.

Streaming platform Okko has officially announced the release date for The Trail of Chikatilo. The eight-episode project expands on a broader narrative inspired by investigations linked to one of the most notorious serial killers in the country’s history. The series will premiere on May 21, 2026.

Continuation of the Story and Returning Characters
The series builds on an already familiar storyline centered around crimes connected to past investigations. Yulia Afanasyeva and Dmitry Vlaskin return to their roles.

Their characters, Irina Ovsyannikova and Vitaly Vitvitsky, once again find themselves at the center of events, now facing a new wave of brutal crimes.
