Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour to Play Father and Daughter in New Netflix Spy Series

The stars of Stranger Things are set to reunite on screen in a new project, but this time their characters will be connected not by circumstance, but by family ties.

Netflix has officially greenlit an untitled spy thriller series starring Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour in the lead roles. The project marks another collaboration for the actors after years of working together on one of the streaming platform’s biggest hits.

What the New Series Is About

At the center of the story is former FBI agent Matt Wolf, played by David Harbour. After stepping away from field operations, he now lives a quiet life as a security consultant, doing his best to stay far from the dangerous world he left behind.

However, his peaceful routine is shattered when he learns about the mysterious disappearance of his daughter Rebecca, played by Millie Bobby Brown. Following in her father’s footsteps, Rebecca joined the intelligence services but vanished during a classified mission.

Forced to save his daughter, Wolf must return to a world he abandoned years ago. But this time, he faces a completely different battlefield, where technology, intelligence methods and modern operations have evolved dramatically, leaving the veteran agent struggling to adapt to a new reality.

Writer and Creative Team

The series will be written by Jack Thorne, best known for his work on Adolescence. This will not be his first collaboration with Millie Bobby Brown, as they previously worked together on the Enola Holmes franchise.

Millie Bobby Brown will not only star in the series but will also serve as a producer. According to the actress, the original idea for the project came from David Harbour. She revealed that development moved quickly, and the project was greenlit much faster than the creators initially expected.

A New Reunion After Stranger Things

For Stranger Things fans, the new series carries special significance, as the relationship between Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour’s characters was widely considered one of the most emotional storylines in the hit Netflix series.

Now, the two actors will once again portray close family members, but in a completely different setting — an intense spy thriller blending family drama, action and modern technology.

The series will be produced by A24, which has been expanding its presence in television while continuing to partner with major streaming platforms. Filming dates and release details have not yet been announced.
