The preparations for the concluding part of Fast & Furious are accompanied by big announcements and unexpected hints from the franchise's creators. This time, the possible film debut of one of the most recognizable sporting figures of the modern era has captured the fans' attention.

Hint from Vin Diesel

Franchise star and producer Vin Diesel posted a photo on social media with Cristiano Ronaldo, where they are posing together, giving a thumbs-up. In the caption, the actor announced that a special role has already been created for the Portuguese footballer within the Fast & Furious universe.

"Everyone kept asking if he would be a part of the Fast universe. I have to say, those are the plans. We have created a role for him," Diesel wrote. However, official confirmation of Ronaldo's involvement in the project is still pending.

Possible Return of Paul Walker

In the same message, Vin Diesel again touched upon the topic of the character Brian O'Conner, originally played by Paul Walker. The actor noted that the hero could appear in the franchise's final part, but did not reveal details on how this would be implemented.

Earlier, Diesel had stated that it is fundamentally important for him to preserve a respectful attitude towards Paul Walker's legacy and to conclude the story in a way that meets the fans' expectations.

Release Date and Studio's Conditions

At the Fuel Fest in June 2025, Vin Diesel confirmed that the release of the final film is scheduled for April 2027. According to him, this date was agreed upon with Universal Studios upon meeting three key conditions.

The actor explained that the studio approached him about the possibility of a Spring 2027 release for the film, and he agreed, basing his decision on the fan community's sentiment. Among the conditions, he mentioned returning the action to Los Angeles, focusing on car culture and street racing, and reuniting the characters Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Conner on screen.

Representatives for Cristiano Ronaldo have not yet commented on the information about the footballer's possible participation in the film. The working title for the final episode of the franchise remains Fast & Furious 10: Part 2.

As filming approaches, the creators continue to build anticipation, and Ronaldo's potential appearance could become one of the most unexpected elements of the finale of the long-running series.
